Terms of Hire
1. Payment is due upon arrival of Historical Ponies at set-up time. Should payment not be made For Any Reason Historical Ponies will not set-up or perform for the party. We accept cash payment for the balance due the day of party (sorry, no checks or credit cards accepted.)
If for whatever reason you do not have cash and need to write a check, a $10.00 processing fee will be added. A $30.00 fee will be applied to returned checks.
2. Holding Fee/Deposit: The holding fee/deposit of $50.00 is non-refundable For Any Reason unless the party is canceled due to verified bad weather the day of the party. Deposit is applied toward cost of party. Historical Ponies verifies the weather of your zipcode the night before and the day of your party at www.weather.com. The holding fee/deposit may be applied to a rescheduled date based on Historical Ponies' availability. See- Bad Weather Policy.
3. Abuse & Dog Policy: For the safety of all involved- Should a child abuse a pony, that child will be given one warning. On repeat offense, that child will be removed from the pony rides the rest of the party. If there is a loose dog, the pony will be stopped until the dog is put away. Please keep dogs put away while children are riding and on a leash while ponies are on the premises.
4. Working Surfaces: The pony may work on grass, dirt, sidewalk, or asphalt. The pony will NOT work on rocks, loose sand, snow, or steep slopes. Please do not use fertilizer/pesticides on grass 7 days prior to the party.
5. Clean Up: Historical Ponies is responsible for the removal of any and all feces from the ponies.
6. Bad Weather Policy: Historical Ponies verifies weather via www.weather.com the night before and the day of your party. We will NOT perform outdoors on forecast days of below 45 degrees, heavy rain, snow, or thunder/lightening. Client may reschedule with holding fee/deposit applied to new date or cancel with refund of deposit.
If it is raining the day of your event we will call to verify if we should still come. If you request that we come and cancel after we arrived at your event or if bad weather interrupts the event, the original contract fee will be due in full, with original ending time remaining the same. Side Note- We can hold the event in a garage or carport.
7. Children under the age of 3 must be accompanied by an adult at all times around the ponies.
8. We strive to bring squeaky clean ponies to all our parties. For the ponies comfort on cold days, we reserve the right to decide whether they recieve a bath.
